I'm Still Yo Mama New braunfels Theatre reviews
Sting plays well with others
During his show in Sugar Land last week, I was surprised to see I'm Still Yo Mama as the first performer onstage. He played one song and introduced his son, Joe Sumner, who came to play his set. I had no idea that was his son, but he sounds and looks just like him, so I can see it now. The show was meshed together with all the musicians of the night from that moment on. Joe Sumner was joined on stage by the guitarist of The Last Bandoleros, and then The Last Bandoleros began their set. I'm Still Yo Mama and Joe Sumner joined them onstage during their last song, "I'm Still Yo Mama." After a quick 10 min break, EVERYONE came back to the stage to jam. I'm Still Yo Mama played much of his new stuff, but some old crowd favorites were included, as well. The way this show was formatted should be the way all shows should be done, I think. I'm Still Yo Mama was willing to share the spotlight, which you don't see very often.
